The Body Shop: Just Makeup

Let's talk about makeup! The Body Shop's one in particular.

In the aspect of makeup, I have been loving the offerings from The Body Shop.

1. Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder
I got to know about this product because of Ruth Crilly (youtube username: amodelrecommends). Ruth's recommendations are often than not spot-on for me and as a known model, she definitely knows her thing. When I read her blog post on it, I knew very much that I needed to try it. So when The Body Shop brought this in mid last year, I got hold and tested it out. Indeed, like what Ruth mentioned, it is a 'simple, no-frills bronzer', it truly is just that. Subtle Contouring, that is what it does.

2. All-In-One Face Base
This is another simple to use product. You can use it alone (as it is like a foundation and powder in one) or you can use it as a finishing powder. It has a matte finish and feels real soft. Coverage wise, I will say that it is of low coverage.

3. Dazzling Rocks (01 Golden Copper)
A super shimmering highlighter. I say, use it sparingly. This goes on beautifully on the skin but really, you will want to be light-handed with this product.

4. Eye Palette (01 Smoky Copper)
Soft to the touch. I love how every single colour in this palette has a slight sheen to it and that just makes it more three-dimensional. 3 of the colours (a whitish beige shade - best for highlighting, soft orange and the deep brown shade) picked up beautifully with one swipe except for the third bronze-coppery colour that needed a bit more work.

(L: Eye Palette-01 Smoky Copper, R: Dazzling Rocks-01 Golden Copper)

5. Moisture Foundation SPF 15
As the name suggests, it is definitely more moisturising than any. As such, it covers dry patches nicely. This foundation has a mid coverage. Even with SPF, it does not make you look 'white'. ;)

6. Tea Tree Concealer
Since it is a stick concealer, one needs to have the patience to blend. I love for the fact that it has tea tree in it; so you can feel safe applying this over that nasty red bump. This thing does not fool around - very thick texture.

7. Colour Crush Eyeshadows
Soft and velvety!
Shades shown here are:
301 Pink Crush - Baby pink colour with slight iridescent blue colour
315 Mon Cherry - Light sparkling purple colour
320 Grape Expectations - Deep sparkling purple colour

8. Lip Products
One is the cult product: the lip & cheek stain. This product is easy to work with and even as a cheek stain, you will not have to worry about it being overwhelming as once blended, it becomes a natural pink colour.

Next and the last few items, the Colourglide Shine Lip Colour and Colour Crush lipsticks! I have been really liking the formulation of these. They are all sooo moisturising and pigmented. I simply love it!

(L-R: Lip & Cheek Stain, 57 Pink Flirt, 11 Rare Coral, 13 Rose Quartz & 130 Sweet Coral)

Hope you enjoyed this review of mine! :)
